I looked for some good references on ice after class - here are two:
Andrew Fortes' web-page - he is an ice researcher
Wikipedia Entry on Ice
So there is Ice IV, IX, and all the way up to XIV. These are mostly just different crystalline forms. Some need to be made very, very carefully. Note to get some forms the plot on Mr. Fortes' page shows a pressure as high as 1 TeraPascal (TPa). By the way if you click on Ice IX on the wikipedia page it is not indeed the same as in Kurt Vonnegut's book the Cat's Cradle.

There is a nice resource available at the University of Alabama: Excel add-in steam tables, and other stuff as well. See the link below. These tables in this form will be very helpful for your project.
