Final
Tuesday December 9 from 11:00 am - 12:50 pm in HOH 201 – Note this period will be used for final project presentations and a competition.

Course Description
This course provides an introduction to the various branches of engineering, and to engineering fundamentals such as problem-solving techniques and basic engineering design.

Prerequisites
No prerequisites

Textbook
No text (class hand-outs)

Instruction Techniques
Lecture will be used predominantly although sometimes student groups will work on a design project.

Class Polices
Attendance is not required, but you will responsible for any announcements or notes from class. Exam attendance is mandatory. Cheating or academic dishonesty of any kind will not be tolerated.

Grading Policies
The following table shows the breakdown of credit for the course.

Attendance = 25% // Homework = 25% // Advising = 25% // Project = 25%

Tentative Grading Scale
90-100% -- A, 80-90% -- B, 70-80% -- C, 60-70% -- D, <60% -- F

I reserve the right to change the Grading Policies section above. In this unlikely event, I will hand out an amended “Grading Policies” section.

UCO Academic Affairs Policy on Missed Final Exams
If a University Emergency occurs that prevents the administration of a final examination, the student's final course grade will be calculated based on the work in the course completed to that point in time and the faculty member's considered judgment. Final exams will not be rescheduled, and a grade of "I" will not be given as a result of the missed exam.

Advising
As part of this course you will be advised by a faculty member from the Physics and Engineering Department. This advisement will be arranged by Dr. Lemley who will give you the proper forms and arrange an advisement time. Advisement is a class requireme nt. Dr. Lemley or a Physics and Engineering faculty member must sign off on all advisement forms before you will receive a grade for this course.
